Harrogate YBC is part of the National Association of Youth Bowling Clubs (NAYBC) and it's members are members of the British Tenpin Bowling Association. We sre subject to and aim to comply with all the relevant "rules" that membership of these bodies requires.
The HYBC is run by a committee comprising our instructors and other interested parents. All the coaches and the office bearers are subject to checking with the CRB and from 2005 this will apply to all committee members. Only instructors are allowed on the lanes with the children each week.
All instructors must complete the BTBA Phase 1 Instructor course before they are allowed on the lanes with the children and we have three Phase 1 instructors at the club, Neil Blackburn, John Lyons, and Jeff Rollings. In addition we have one of only a handful of Phase 3 coaches in Yorkshire in Murray Jarvis. Phase 3 is the highest level of coach and we are very fortunate to have Murray's skills at Harrogate.

Most of the committee members are parents of children who are or who have been members of the YBC and we understand that you may have questions you would like to ask. There is always someone you can talk to at the UK Superbowl any Saturday morning between 9.45 a.m. and about 12 noon - please don't hesitate.
